For all who want to see art all the time we have Permanent Art Points<\/strong> and so you can have a look all the summer and winter. So go around and look at the work of our artists.

Art Flow Gallery<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Art<\/a>In May 2017 opened Claudia Boldura a new gallery in Paleochora. Claudia Boldora is italian artist and makes different form of art.\"Opening<\/a><\/p>\n

In the Flow Art Gallery, in the center of Paleochora, she wants to show her own art but also art of different artists. So there will be a lot of different exhibitions during the summer. Claudia doesn’t believe in \u201ehigh\u201c or \u201elow\u201c art, just in art. Art is for her an expression of emotions of human beings and she wants to start a conversation with everybody about creativity which is inside of people.<\/p>\n

Gerhard Stelzhammer has two Permanent Art Points: The Sculpture Garden in Anidri and the Astrini in Paleochora
\n<\/strong><\/div>\n

\"Gerhard<\/a>Gerhard Stelzhammer is born in Graz and since 2009 he lives and works on the island of Crete in Paleochora. His creations are\"Gerhard-Stelzhammer_Female<\/a> marble, alabasta or as of late, wood. As an artist it was his dream to present art in nature and so he realized this in 2012 with his Sculpture Garden in Kondoura. After moving to Anidri he opened officially the new sculpture garden in June 2018. Under old olive trees you will see his sculptures in a very nice atmosphere. He offers also workshops for wood or stone.<\/p>\n

Opening time for the Sculpture Garden: 9am – 1pm and 3pm – 9pm<\/p>\n

In 2013 he created the „Astrini<\/strong>„, the woman, who looks to the stars about Paleochora. The marble, Untersberger marble, came from an old castle out of Salzburg, Austria. It is one of Paleochora’s landmarks which stands on the promenade at the sandy beach side of town. www.gerhard-stelzhammer.at<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/strong>The artist Kostas Liatakis you find at three Permanent Art Points: Kostas Workshop, Aris Hotel and very new \u0391\u039d\u0391\u0394\u03a5\u03a3\u0399\u03a3<\/strong>

\u00a0<\/div>\n
\"Kostas<\/a>Kostas Liatakis is born in Paleochora and makes art out of stones, woods and things he finds in the nature. You find his artwork a\"Anadisis\"<\/a>t Aris Hotel and at his Workshop.<\/div>\n

In the centre of Paleochora town, you will find the Workshop of Kostas Liatakis. Kostas specialises in sculpture from Wood, sandstone, driftwood & marble. His workshop is full of his own creations and you will also find him here working on his latest pieces. The workshop is located in the street that runs behind the Main Street (just a few doors from the Fruit & Veg shop). Call in to see him, for a big welcome & lots of special artwork.<\/p>\n

Aris Hotel<\/strong><\/div>\n
Tucked away in a peaceful location, but central for the town and beaches, you will find the Aris Hotel. Full of artwork and sculpture by local artist Kostas Liatakis, you will find pieces of artwo\"Art<\/a>rk outside, as well as inside – and in guest rooms too! Aris, the owner of the hotel bought also artwork of other local artist. You can find Aris Hotel if you follow the road around the headland – or contact them direct http:\/\/paleochorahotels.com\/<\/a><\/div>\n

Kosta create a new sculpture out of olive tree, the \u0391\u039d\u0391\u0394\u03a5\u03a3\u0399\u03a3<\/b><\/span>. He was working several months to finish this sculptur in May 2018. If you see it, you need a while to discover all what he had made. One woman describes Kosta as the little prince in the book who help us to see things inside the trees. The place of the new sculpture is on the top of the sandy beach side, between the stony donkey at the harbor.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Manto Art Gallery<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Manto<\/a>Manto is a local painter. She studied art and design in Athen and opened her Art Gallery in Paleochora in 2003. The whole gallery \"Mantos<\/a>is full of paintings of Manto. She likes the traditional paintings from the objects and also the technique of her painting. You find frescos, paintings on wood, icons and minoan based paintings.<\/p>\n

The Gallery is open from 9 am \u2013 2pm and from 6 pm \u2013 9 pm.<\/p>\n

And from the first of June: 9am \u2013 2pm and in the afternoon from 7 pm \u2013 10 pm,<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Silvia Forrer – Sil-Art<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>On the hiking path to the Anidri-gorge you get to the studio of the Swiss painter Silvia Forrer. It is situated opposite the village sign of Anidri. Silvia Forrer lives and works here since 2008. The artist took part in various exhibitons in Z\u00fcrich, Switzerland, and in Crete. In 2020 she opened her new studio. If you like to see her work you can visit the studio. The sign in front of her house, lets you know if the artist is home or not. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
